About the Opportunity: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Manager to join a growing and well-established accounting firm. This is a newly created position designed to provide a critical leadership layer between the Board and the firm's operational teams as the business continues to expand. With 13 office locations and a team that is experiencing significant growth, the Board has identified the need for a dedicated General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, drive accountability, and ensure the business continues to operate efficiently while maintaining exceptional service standards. The Role: Reporting directly to the Board, the General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the firm's operational performance across all 13 locations. Each office is led by a Manager; however, this role will provide the leadership, structure, and strategic oversight required to ensure consistency, efficiency, and strong business performance across the entire organisation. You will play a key role in implementing and refining processes, monitoring business performance, ensuring KPIs are achieved, and supporting the ongoing growth and development of the firm. Key Responsibilities: Provide operational leadership across 13 office locations. Act as the key link between the Board and office management teams. Drive business performance and ensure organisational KPIs are met. Review, implement, and improve operational processes and procedures. Support and mentor office managers to achieve business objectives. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Manage change initiatives and support the continued growth of the business. Ensure consistency in service delivery and operational standards across all locations. P rovide regular reporting and insights to the Board. About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: 2–3 years' experience in a General Manager position. Previous leadership experience within a medium-sized professional services or accounting firm. Strong operational management and people leadership skills. Experience managing multiple teams or locations. A proven ability to implement processes and drive performance outcomes. Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capabilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Public practice experience is welcomed but is not a prerequisite.
